These pictures of Dungkhar were made while visiting home a few summers ago. Revisiting the photographs later, after he disappeared, led me to a rediscovery of a place I grew up in and had left — of a sustained engagement with space and a manifestation of relationship with my home and family. The Tibetan word "Dungkhar" literally translates to a White Conch, symbolizing awakening.
